Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) defines acceptable and prohibited uses of the hosting services provided by GalacticNode (“GalacticNode”, “we”, “us”). All customers, users, and anyone accessing our services must comply with this policy. Violations may result in suspension or termination of services.

1. General requirements

You agree to use GalacticNode services responsibly, legally, and in a manner that does not interfere with our infrastructure, network, employees, or other customers.

You are responsible for all activity performed through your account, including activity performed by authorized users.

2. Unlimited resources and fair usage

GalacticNode may advertise certain hosting features as unlimited. These services are subject to fair usage requirements to ensure reliable performance for all customers.

Unlimited hosting is designed for standard websites, business websites, blogs, forums, and similar legitimate hosting purposes.

The following activities may be considered excessive or outside normal usage:

Using hosting accounts primarily as file storage or backup storage
Hosting large archives or downloadable file repositories
Operating resource-intensive applications that negatively affect server performance
Running background processes not intended for shared hosting environments
Using resources in a way that impacts other customers

3. Illegal activities

You may not use GalacticNode services for any activity that violates applicable federal, state, local, or international laws.

Examples of prohibited illegal activities include:

Fraudulent activities or scams
Identity theft or impersonation
Distribution of illegal materials
Unauthorized access to systems or networks
Activities intended to cause harm to individuals or organizations

4. Security violations

Attempting to compromise the security of any system, network, or account is strictly prohibited.

Unauthorized access attempts
Password cracking or credential attacks
Port scanning without authorization
Exploiting security vulnerabilities
Installing malware or unauthorized backdoors
Attempting to bypass security controls

5. Malware and malicious content

You may not host, distribute, or operate any malicious software or content.

Viruses
Trojans
Ransomware
Spyware
Botnets
Phishing pages
Malicious scripts or files

6. Spam and email abuse

Our services may not be used to send unsolicited email or operate abusive email campaigns.

Sending spam messages
Operating unauthorized mailing lists
Sending bulk email without proper consent
Using misleading email headers
Email harvesting or collecting addresses without permission

7. Phishing and fraud prevention

Hosting or distributing phishing websites, fraudulent login pages, or deceptive content designed to steal information is strictly prohibited.

Any account involved in phishing activity may be immediately suspended or terminated.

8. Network abuse

You may not perform actions that negatively impact the stability, security, or availability of our network or other customers.

DDoS attacks
Attempting to disrupt services
Network flooding
Abuse of shared infrastructure
Operating malicious traffic systems

9. Resource usage

Customers must use resources fairly and responsibly.

Excessive usage that negatively impacts server performance or other customers may result in resource limits, suspension, or recommendations to upgrade services.

10. Cryptocurrency mining

Cryptocurrency mining, blockchain-related workloads, or similar high-resource activities are not permitted unless explicitly approved by GalacticNode in writing.

11. Copyright and intellectual property

You may not use GalacticNode services to host or distribute content that infringes copyrights, trademarks, patents, or other intellectual property rights.

12. Adult and restricted content

Customers may not use GalacticNode services to host illegal adult content, exploitative material, or any content prohibited by applicable law.

Content involving exploitation, abuse, or illegal activity is strictly prohibited.

13. VPN, proxy, and anonymization services

VPN, proxy, relay, or anonymization services may only be operated with prior approval from GalacticNode.

Services used to facilitate abuse, fraud, or illegal activity are prohibited.

14. Game servers and applications

Game servers, applications, and community platforms are allowed provided they comply with this AUP.

Customers remain responsible for ensuring their applications do not consume excessive resources or violate applicable laws.

15. Account responsibility

Customers are responsible for securing their accounts, maintaining software updates, and preventing unauthorized use.

Compromised accounts must be reported immediately.

16. Abuse reports

Reports of abuse may be submitted to support@galacticnode.com.

We may investigate reported violations and take appropriate action.

17. Enforcement actions

Depending on the severity of a violation, GalacticNode may take actions including:

Warning notices
Temporary suspension
Resource restrictions
Service termination
Reporting illegal activity to appropriate authorities

18. False abuse reports

Submitting knowingly false abuse reports or attempting to misuse the abuse process may result in account restrictions or termination.

19. Changes to this policy

We may update this Acceptable Use Policy from time to time.

Changes will be posted on our website. Continued use of GalacticNode services after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
